Can I invoice per lesson instead of by the term?
Yes. Set recurring termly lesson fees to be sent automatically each term, or add a fee per lesson as you teach — whichever suits your studio. Fee templates make the lessons you bill every week a one-tap job, and everything lands on the same parent account.
What happens when a pupil misses a lesson?
Mark the register when it happens, and the decision stays with you. If your policy is to bill for missed lessons, the recurring fee keeps to its schedule. If you credit the lesson or offer a catch-up, add a credit to the pupil's account so the next statement shows exactly where things stand.
Can I add exam entries and sheet music on top of lesson fees?
Yes. Recurring termly lesson fees are sent on your schedule, and once-off fees — an ABRSM or UNISA exam entry, a theory book, a set of strings — can be added to one pupil, a whole group or the full school whenever they come up. It all appears on the same statement.
Can I run ensembles and theory groups alongside one-to-one lessons?
Yes. Each one-to-one lesson slot, ensemble and theory group is its own group in SimpliClass, with its own pupils, timetable, register and fees. A pupil who plays in the junior orchestra and sits in the Grade 5 theory group appears in both, and you can send notices to either without cross-posting.
Can parents pay their lesson fees online?
Yes, on the Pro plan. Parents pay straight from their statement and the payment reconciles itself against their account. You can also import your bank statement and let SimpliClass match payments to the right pupils for you.
